Our colour palette draws from nature with earthy tones found in the savannah- warm taupe’s, deep browns and ivory are complemented by splashes of vibrant red and black reflecting the traditional Masai attire. Natural materials of reclaimed wood, stone, ironwork and paint finishes create a soothing atmosphere that promotes both relaxation and comfort.

Lynne and her team resourced textured fabrics in taupe, ivory, and charcoal, all are incorporated into the soft furnishings, to add luxury, style and comfort . Handwoven rugs in Karakul wool are introduced along with custom Masai inspired beadwork designs featured in our night table lampshades along with and a stunning feature headboard design with bronze Masai spear finials celebrating local craftsmanship.

The camp features an open plan communal firepit area designed with social gathering in mind, Large banquette sofas with low tables surround the open firepit for drinks after game drives or to simply watch the wildlife in the valley beyond. The individual tent accommodations are luxurious and spacious offering open plan suite style living for guest comfort. Large wrap around windows and terraces offer panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, bringing the outside in.

Another exciting element to the design was tasked to Lynne to curate a Art Collection for the camp. Local artists feature throughout the camp, with a contemporary collection of pieces that has been thoughtfully curated and includes works on bark cloth, acrylic canvas paintings, sculpture and other works on paper to celebrate the talented East African artists featured in the Mahali Mzuri Collection, enriching the guest experience.
